BIRKENHEAD WEDDING
GOWN OF IVORY LACE WORN OVER SATIN PUGH—MENTZER The marriage was celebrated recently at Ali Saints’‘Anglican Church, Birkenhead, of Olga, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Mentzer, of Birkenhead, to Gc*orge A., elder son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pugh, also of Birkenhead. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. C. Davis, and Mrs. J. V. Steel presided at the organ. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride Given away by her father, the bride wore an ankle-length frock of ivory laco over satin beaute. Her veil was worn with a capo effect caught to the head with three sprays of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies and maidenhair fern. Miss Zoe Mentzer and Miss Lilah Pugh attended the bride, wearing frocks in replica of blush rose satin and silk net, with* black felt hats trimmed with cere ribbon and pink orchids under the brim. They each carried a sheaf of irises and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were carried out by All*. Ray Pugh. Aft€T the ceremony a reception was held at the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead which was artistically decorated. To receive the guests Mrs. Mentzer wore a black sealskin coat over navy georgette and lace, with a navy liat. and she carnied a bouquet of violeCs and snowdrops. Airs. Pugh was gowned in Wedgwood blue marocain under a tweed coat, with a blue hat to tone. Her bouquet was of violets and fern To travel in. the bride wore a frock of russet brown satin beaute and a tweed coat, with hat and furs to tone.
