Watterson, of Symonds Street, is leaving today by the R.M.S. Tahiti for Durban, South Africa. Miss Anita Webster, of Shelly Beach Road, is leaving today by the Niagara on a tour of America, England and the Continent. * * * Miss Nan Monckton, who has been for the past year training at the Karitane Home in Wanganui, has returned to Hamilton. * * * Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Wilkinson, of Dunedin, and Mr. and Mrs. D A. Smith, of New York, are among the guests at tho Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Webster, Sarsfield Street, Herne Bay, leave today by the Niagara on a tour of America, England and the Continent. Mrs. and Miss R. McCarroll, of Me- ; Carroll’s Gap, North Auckland, arrived ! yesterday morning by the s.s. Niagara after an extended trip of the South Pacific Islands and Australia, and are leaving for Whangarei today. Two passengers by the Niagara, to attend the conference of tho Florists’ Telegraph Delivery Association, to be held in San Francisco early in September, will be Miss Ethel Black, of Wellington, and Mrs. D. Lovell, of Hawera. They are both members of the Society of New Zealand Professional Floral Artists, and will represent New Zealand at the conference. * * # A lecture is to be given to the worqen of Auckland by Miss F. Duggan. D.C., of the Palmer School of Chiropractic, lowa, U.S.A., irf the concert chamber, Town Hall, this evening. The lecturer’s object is to introduce chiropractic as a profession for women. The efficacy of chiropractic in maternity cases and conditions characteristic to women will be discussed. WAIKATO NOTES Miss Hunter, who has been in charge of tho dental clinic at Cambridge since its inception, has left to take charge of the clinic at Shannon. Miss Dorothy Neely lias succeded Miss Hunter at the Cambridge clinic. BRIDGE PARTIES. Another very happy bridge afternoon was given for Miss Elsie Simmons on Thursday afternoon. The hostess was Miss Dell Yule. Miss Simmons was wearing a suit of daffodil yellow. Mrs. A. Yule wore figured taffeta, and Miss Yule’s frock was of flowered crepe de chine. PARTY FOR GIRL GUIDE FUNDS A very enjoyable party was given on Thursday afternoon at her homo in Hillcrest' by Mrs. K. Cobbe. The party was given to raise more funds for the Executive of the South Auckland Division of the Girl Guides. A bright programme of competitions and recitations by Mrs. A.
