DANGEROUS DOG

WELL KNOWN TO MAGISTRATE In fining H. Ivee Jang a total of £1 13a for keeping a dangerous dog, Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., at the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court yesterday said he was well acquainted with the particular dog. He had seen it running round at St. Heliers Bay with a length of chain attached. If defendant kept a dog of this description he should keep it securely tied up, and i he wanted to keep a dog to warn off intruders from his vegetable patch he recommended a fox terrier. Mr. Geison, for defendant, said the dog was kept to protect his vegetables from intruders. On the day of the charge it broke off the chain and bit a boy while passing.
