ROTORUA BLUE BATH
REASONS FOR STOPPING WORK CESSATION ONLY TEMPORARY From Our• Own Correspondent ROTORUA, Monday. In reply to representations made tr him regarding the cessation of woik on the Blue Bath the following letter has been received from the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, by Mr. C. H. Cllnkard, M.P.: “Regarding the stoppage of work at the Blue Bath, Rotorua, I have tc advise that the decision to suspend work was arrived at only after very careful consideration and was necessary because of the insufficiency of available funds. Instructions have been given for work at the baths to be cleaned up and the surroundings made as neat as possible. It may be mentioned that the Government has recently spent, or will be spending, on tourist development work in Rotorua about £40,000. However, the intention is, if possible, to resume operations at the Blue Bath toward the end of this year or early in the new financial year.”
