FINED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT “He was jumping about on the footpath and frightening children,” said Constable Hanna of Edgar James Steere, a wharf labourer, aged 59, who was charged in the Police Court this morning with being disorderly while drunk in Queen Street. Sub-Inspector Shanahan said Steere had been previously convicted on a similar charge on July 26. A fine of £l, in default three days’ imprisonment, was imposed.
