HARD WORK AT TEST
EFFICIENT FIRST-AID CORPS Too much cannot be said for the work of the Auckland Ambulance Division of the St. John Ambulance Association at the Rugby Test this afternoon. Eighteen officers and 15 sisters were kept hard at work dealing with cases of fainting and collapse in the crowd. In addition to the usual casualty room, a tent was erected on trie ground near the members’ stand, and even then accommodation was in full demand when the crowd moved off at the end of the match.
The division was supervised by Superintendent A. W. Potter and the field officers were directed by Ambulance Officer E. C. Howes. In charge of the sister was Mrs. E. Cammell. Lady Divisional Superintendent. The only injury of the day was that of a boy, A. Burns, who was playing lor Hamilton High School against the Auckland Grammar School in the curtain-raiser. He received a sprained ankle.
