RIFLE SHOOTING

PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB From Our Own Correspondent PAEROA, Today. On Wednesday evening the Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club held a very successful handicap match for a trophy donated by Messrs. W. Bain and J Barrett. Very good shooting was witnessed —so much so, that thr€>© members, E. Turton. A. E. Pearson and J. Frost, all gained the limit, 100. with their handicaps. These three were shooting very consistently through both the first shoot and the shoot-off, which was necessary in deciding the winner. J. Frost is a new member of the club, this being only his third match. In the shoot-off. E. Turton was eliminated by one point, leaving A. E. Pearson and J. Frost still in the running. Instead of having another shoot-off the two decided between themselves to toss for the trophy, and J. Frost was the lucky one. The scoring was as follows: E. Turton, sen., score 98, handicap 4. total 100; A. E. Pearson, 96, 4—100; J. Frost, 94, 9—100; C. G. Millar, 87, 12—99; M. Charlesworth, 90, 8—98; T. McCormick. 87, 11—98; F. C. Hubbard, 95, 2 —97; H.
