Popularity Campaign

Final Bonus Period Closes Noon Tomorrow

PARADE IN PUKEKOHE

Up till noon tomorrow, 100,000 extra bonus votes will, be allowed on each total of £lO turned in by a Contestant. This is absolutely the last chance for a Contestant to accumulate extra bonus votes. Each and every Contestant is urged to try and secure at least one of these final bonuses, as 100,000 extra votes will mean much when the final count is made. Next week, which is the final week ot the campaign, no bonus will be allowed and votes will simply be allotted according to term of subscriptions. FINAL DRIVE IMPORTANT Many a race is won by a final burst of speed in the home stretch. Many contestants are running neck and neck and those who make the final drive are going to forge ahead and walk away with the choice prizes. A few extra subscriptions will separate any number of contestants and if these few extra subscriptions are secured this week and advantage taken of the last extra bonus, it will go far toward placing the contestant in an advantageous place on the final list. SEND IN VOTES FOR CHECKING On numerous occasions the Campaign Manager has requested all contestants to send in their votes for checking, however up-to-date; very few have responded. Again we impress upon each contestant the importance of this final check In order that errors, if any, can he rectified. It will be too late to rectify any error after the prizes are awarded! Better be safe than sorry! PARADE OF PRIZE CARS IN PUKEKOHE The Sun's Prize Cars were paraded in Pukekohe aDd Papakura yesterday afternoon. Messrs. Cooper and Curd, of Pukekohe, General Motors Agents,

co-operated with Mr. McSkimming, the Campaign Representative, in displaying these prize cars to the contestants and their friends. The cars were attractively decorated for the event and at 1.30 p.m. the procession moved slowly off from the showrooms of Cooper and Curd, passing through the principal streets of the town. Much interest was shown by the public, as the parade had been previously announced and many were eagerly looking forward to see the prize cars. Later in the afternoon the cars were driven to Papakura, where the same public interest was evident. Messrs. Cooper and Curd propose displaying the prize cars in Tuakau and Waiuku today and in Pukekohe again tonight. MAKE RESERVATIONS AT CIVIC EARLY Many Contestants have already made reservations for seats at the Civic for the final closing August 2. There are a number of contestants who have not and as the theatre will he crowded on that night, we would suggest that they make reservations without delay to ensure securing seats. Contestants are asked to return the list of prizes indicating their choice. Merely insert the number of the prize desired if the contestant should stand in the various positions indicated. This will enable the Campaign Manager to select the prize wanted if available in the event of the Contestant not being present or failing to have a representative present. Contestants are requested to send in all Reserve Ballots immediately. This is very important. Mail all ballots to the Campaign Manager by return post. Ballots not received by August 2 cannot be epunted.
