TRUCK ON FIRE
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE Prom Our Own Correspondent ... ROTORUA, Thursday. A truck ablaze made a spectacular tire at six o'clock this evening. A truck, owned by Mr. W. J. Costello, fishmonger, Rotorua, had tilled up at a petrol station, and when the engine was started the vehicle burst into flames, supposed to be caused by the heat of the engine. The fire was suppressed by the fire brigade. The tank was burned out and the engine damaged, but was workable. The cab, tyres, upholstery, woodwork and hood were destroyed. The track was valued at £IBO, and was Insured for £l3O.
