THE TAMAHERE TEAM
W' TH the exception of Enawah, Brutus and Prince Pedro f who are required for the Auckland relief fixture, Alan McMillan’s team is enjoying a rest. Machine Gun will be taken in hand shortly and given a preparation for the New Zealand and Auckland Cups. The good stake-earner, Peter McKinney, whose cheque for the season was £1,320, will later joint the active brigade in view of another essay at the richly-endowed Rowe Cup. The Tamahere trainer has great hopes of getting the sterling grey gelding Taipare to the races again, as he has made a satisfactory recovery from his shoulder injury.
