Sun’s Popularity Campaign
CONTESTANTS SHOULD SEND IN SECRET BALLOTS IMMEDIATELY
Ballot Box Sealed Saturday
LAST CHANCE FOR EXTRA VOTES
f>ess than 4S hours remain for the Contestants to secure the last great Bonus ballots of the competition. Every possible effort should be exerted by all contestants to take advantage of this offer. The extra votes secured in this way may be just the votes required to go over the top for the prize most desired. No individual candidate has a commanding lead and the few remaining days will decide who will forge ahead sufficient to win the big prizes. It may take only a few more subscriptions to place your name at the head of the list. Remember, if your fellow Contestant has one more vote than you—he has first choice of all prizes. SEND IN SECRET BALLOTS The Campiaign Manager urgently requests all Contestants to send in all secret Ballots immediately so that they may be checked with the campaign file before deposit in the ballot box. This final check is very important and the Secret Ballots sent in now will not be published in the paper, but will merely be checked against the campaign records to be sure that all ballots are in and that no certificates were lost in the mail. After checking the certificates, the secret ballots will then be placed in the Contestant’s file for deposit in the Ballot Box next week. Under no circumstances can mistakes be rectified after the conclusion of the campaign. In order to check, merely send in all secret ballots in your possession and if any are missing the Contestant will be immediately notified by the Campaign Department. DALTON ADDING MACHINE Through the courtesy of Armstrong
and Springhall, Ltd., a special Dalton adding machine has been loaned to the Campaign Department to be used in making a careful and accurate check of the Contestants’ records. A Dalton adding machine will also be used at the Civic Theatre on next Saturday week in making the final count of votes. A representative from Armstrong and Springhall, Ltd., will be in charge of the operation of the machine. The Dalton machine is noted for its speed and accuracy and is sometimes known as the machine with a human brain. PRIZE CAR SHOW IN HAMILTON A big exhibition of The Sun Prize Cars was held in Hamilton yesterday, with the co-operation of Ebbett Motors, Chevrolet and Pontiac dealers and Whitford-Erson Motors, Buick and Marquette dealers. The cars paraded through the business section of Hamilton and in the afternoon went to Huntly, where a final demonstration was held. CAR PARADE IN PUKEKOHE A big exhibition of The Sun’s Prize Cars will be held today in Pukekohe. Cooper and Curd, Pukekohe representatives of General Motors, will stage the exhibition. The cars will be paraded through the streets and the contestants will ride in the various prize cars. Calls will be made on all the leading business firms and many homes in the residential section, where the Contestants will show the cars to their various friends from whom they hope to gather in a great number of votes.
