Bright Dance In Scots Hall

J.C.L. STAFF EFFECTIVE DECORATIVE SCHEME Scots Hall was very attractively decorated last evening for the enjoyable dance held by the staff of John Court, Ltd. Spirals of streamers shading: from pale yellow to deep orange were suspended from the ceiling and silver festoons made a canopy overhead. Orange and red lights threw into colourful effect 5 the Eastern stage setting of tall palms and pillars against an azure sky. Flowers, foliage and coloured lights were arranged in the lounges and ante-rooms, while pale gold and orange streamers and lanterns decorated the supper room.

Music for dancing was supplied by the Apache Orchestra. Committee members present were: Mrs. McEwen, who wore midnight blue moire with blue beaded embroideries; Mrs. Winnall, in embossed chenille georgette, with diamente trimmings; Miss Steele, whose frock of beige lace was worn over pink; Miss Walters, who chose cameo pink georgette; Miss E. Munce, wearing floral taffeta, with frilled georgette overskirt; Miss Mincher, whose gown was of black panne velvet; Miss Boon, who wore cherry georgette, with long uneven hemline; Miss Cuthbertson, in black souple satin and lace; Miss Hansen. in ivory satin beaute, with long tiered skirt and scarlet bridge coat; Miss C.
