THE SUN FOR LEAGUE
PREFERRED BY CHAIRMAN OF A.R.L. EXECUTIVE’S APPRECIATION “We get better publicity from THE SUN than from any other Auckland newspaper.” This direct statement was made by Mr. C. Adamson, chairman of the Junior Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League at the meeting of the Management Committee of the League last evening during a general discussion on the League game and the publicity it is accorded. The discussion was introduced by several club delegates, who said that the game was not getting the publicity it warranted in some Auckland papers. They said that results of matches and other information were not being made use of by those papers when it was supplied. Every member, however, made an exception of The Sun, and Mr. George Rhodes, chairman of the committee, said: “I prefer THE SUN myeelf, and I always take it.”
