FUNDS FOR RESEARCH WORK Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand section of the Institute of Pacific Relations, Sir Aripana Ngata, announced that the Maori Purposes Board would contribute £SO per annum for five years to the funds of the institute. A committee was set up to co-oper-ate with the Maori Purposes Board in carrying out research into the effect of civilisation on the Maoris and the Cook Islands people. The next general conference will be held in China in 1931.
