With the closing of business on Saturday, the last Bonus period in The Sun’s great Popularity Campaign will be a myth. The contestants can count the hours now until the close and every hour during the balance of this week should be productive of some votes toward winning the most valuable prizes. Never before in the history of Auckland was there such an opportunity as exists now for the contestants in The Sun’s great popularity competition. Over £6,000 in prizes will be given absolutely free to various people on Saturday. August 2; £I,OOO in a home. £540 Buick, a Marquette, a Pontiac, and two Chevrolet cars! They are anybody’s prizes today. New contestants may enter the race up until Saturday, at which time nominations will close, and only contestants whose names have been entered up to that time will be eligible to win prizes. In Saturday’s paper the list will be : published showing votes counted up | to Thursday night and in Monday's < paper the final vote count will be ■ published showing the votes polled | up to Saturday. The names of ail contestants qualified to win will ap- ] pear in this last vote count. The people of Auckland can hardly understand the opportunity that is here presented. There are still thou sands of new subscribers to be obtained for The Sun. The circulation of The Sun has already been increased greatly, but still there are many more to be secured. As the time is getting short, contestants may not be able to actually call on all their prospective subscribers and collect the subscription, therefore to make it easy for the contestants, a contestant may advance the subscrip tlon money and supply the sub scriber's name later. Votes will be issued as soon as the money is turned in to the office —the paper may be started any time that a contestant wishes. PRIZE DISTRIBUTION Next Saturday week the prizes will be awarded to the victorious contestants after the count of votes at the Civic Theatre. In all cases, orders on the various merchants where the prizes have been purchased will be handed to the winning contestants. The contestants must take delivery of all prizes from the shops where they were purchased. Under no circumstances will the money be given
in lieu of any prizes nor will The Sun assume any responsibility forth* sale of the prizes chosen by a contestant. CAR DISPLAY IN WHANGAREI Through the co-operation of Weston Bros.. Chevrolet, Buick and Marquette dealers, a big exhibition of The Sun Prize Cars is’being made today in Whangarei. A parade of ti« Prize Cars will start from Westoo Brothers' show rooms and will be conducted through the various business and residential sections of tie city. The Contestants will ride in tie Prize Cars and will exhibit them t» their various prospective subscriber*. The people of Whangarei have hope* that one of the prize cars will go to a Whangarei contestant and mnch enthusiasm is being shown in the rtr-" ous contestants’ behalf.
