STANLEY CLUB’S TOURNEY A billiards tournament held by tie Stanley Bowling Club, just conclude was well supported by* the mexnbert, and several of the players showed marked ability with the cue. Tb* process of elimination went on gradually until F. Baker and F. M. Cox an in the final. The finalists were evenly matched, and quite a large number of those who took part in the various games assembled to witness the flm] Baker played steadily throughout, aad ran out the winner by 10 points. Tht winner was heartily congratulated on his victory, and will have his name inscribed on the handsome silver cap —which is the ambition of all those taking part. The runner-up was also congratulated on his play in the tournament A second tournament Is now in progress.
