Saint Luke's Hockey Club Annual Dance
Bright Evening in Symondsville Studio Last evening the Symondsville Studio presented a gay scene when the St. Luke’s Hockey Club held its annual social dance. The studio was gaily decorated with hanging baskets of ferns, and round the walls were loops of autumnshaded leaves and glowing Chinese lanterns. The dance music was played by the Versatile Pirates Orchestra. Among those present were: Airs. T. Harle Giles, wearing a frock of shrimp pink moire velvet; Mrs. Arthur Williams, sunglow moire relieved with gold lace; Mrs. F. G. Reynolds, gown of black georgette embroidered in gold; Mrs. J. Belcher, pretty frock of ivory satin and tulle; Miss Kathleen Torrance, white embroidered net and apple green taffeta; Miss Joan Craig, tiered frock of black moire taffeta; Miss T. Duncan, primrose floral satin beaute; Miss D. Read, brique marquisette frock; Miss J. Buchan, powder blue ninon with floral motifs; Miss S. Woods, primrose taffeta and georgette; Miss N. Read, apricot embossed georgette; Miss Lea Simpson, leaf-green satin beaute; Miss S. Mackay, silver lame and chenille spotted tulle; Miss* Ruth Wallace, embroidered ecru net over maize satin: Miss D. Kent, ankle-length frock of unrelieved black crepe de chine; Miss G. Birkenhead, black chiffon velvet with jade and silver coatee; Miss S. Billing, old rose shot taffeta. Miss Sprott, wearing a dainty frock of ivory silk lace; Miss Totman, lupin blue tucked georgette with floral motifs; Miss Gwen Brown, powder blue shot taffeta; Miss R. Leaning, gold lame and suntan taffeta; Miss G. Aliway, airforce blue floral chiffon; Miss Duncan, primrose flowered taffeta; Miss M. Jones, black satin and net frock; Miss J. Bull (Wairarapa), primrose taffeta with deep hem of tulle; Miss Jean Humbleton (Grevmouth), peach taffeta and oriental lame coatee; Miss Ruby Wood, silver lame and pink frilled taffeta; Miss Jean Graham, unrelieved black georgette; Miss R. Thompson, blue and silver lame; Miss McDonald, sage green satin beaute and coatee of gold lame; Miss O’Connor, leafgreen taffeta; Miss Chalmers, Chinese red crepe de chine and gold lace; Miss I. Marshall, almond-green georgette; Miss G. Brittpin, powder blue shot taffeta; Miss F. Shenkin, old gold lace and satin; Miss MacLeod, firefly shot taffeta: Miss S. Cook, frock of ivory lace with leafgreen coatee. Miss Latchmore, who wore ruby embossed ring velvet; Miss E. Hunter, al-mond-green satin beaute; Miss J. Neumegan, blue and green figured ninon; Miss Scanlon, lettuce-green satin; Miss Silk, ankle-length frock of white satin; Miss Vipond, deep rose lace; Miss A. Brook, capucene frilled georgette; Mias Head, cameo pink satin and tulle; Miss McCullough, deep wine embossed georgette: Miss Donkin, black sprigged taffeta and net; Miss Jean Wright, blush rose pink satin; Miss M. Hosking, powder olue georgette and silver lace; Miss B. Rees, apricot chiffon velvet; Miss Hope Johnstone, capucene taffeta; Miss M.
