WOMEN’S COMMITTEE OF REFORM LEAGUE
ANNUAL MEETING A very successful annual meeting of the, Auckland Women’s Committee of the "New Zealand Political Reform League took place in the league rooms last evening. In approving the secretary’s report and financial statement, Dr. Hilda Northcroft, president of the committee, congratulated members on their activities. It was unanimously agreed tha 4 the year had been a most successful one, the social committee having contributed in a large measure to the out • standing success. A very interesting discussion took place on canvassing at election time. The chairwoman read some notes on the subject by the organiser, and his ideas were enthusiastically received and commented on. Several members related their own experiences of canvassing. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: E>r. Hilda Northcroft, president; vice-presidents. Dr Buckley Turkington, Mrs. Ferguson. Mrs. Smythe, Mrs. Russell; hon. secretary, Mrs. Smythe.
