Airs. R. Brown and Airs. L. Swales, of Hamilton, have left for a holiday at The Chateau, Tongariro. Airs. Hopkins, who has been visiting her daughter, Airs. E. R. Gresham, in Hamilton, has returned to Wellington. Aliss M. Dyer, inspector of home science in secondary schools, is at present in Hamilton.

Mrs. Campbell Smith and Miss Colin Campbell Smith, of Nelson, who have been visiting Rotorua and Hamilton, are now the guests of Mrs. Clemow. in Cambridge. BRIDGE PARTIES A gay little party was given by Miss Kuth Wilson on Thursday evening at her home in Charles Road. The guest of honour was Miss Elsie Simmons, who is leaving shortly to live in Tauranga Progressive bridge was played, Miss Alice Wallis and Miss Ngaire Jackson being the most successful players. Tho rooms were delightfully decorated with early bulbs and daphne. Mrs. F. T. Wilson was wearing a gown of black georgette and lace. Miss Simmons’s taffeta frock was rose patterned. and Miss Wilson wore flowered ring velvet. The other guests were Mrs. Alan Matthews, Miss C. Chittv. Miss N. Jackson, Miss A. Wallis, Miss D. Mrs. Ewart Brown and Air Nicholas. Of the “five hundred” players Mrs. R. Zellman and Air. Baker were the most successful.

The Waikato Hunt on- Saturday afternoon met at Alorrinsville. The hounds threw off from the Lockerby Homestead, but the scent was poor. and though hares were found, the hunting did not come up to tho high expectations of what is usually such good country. After the meet, many huntsmen and spectators were most hospitably entertained by Airs. Allan and Air. .T. M. Allan at Annandale, where a most enjoyable time was spent. There were visitors from Hamilton. Cambridge, Te Arolia, Eureka, Alatangi and Matamata.
