MELBOURNE TO NORTH ISLAND POSSIBLE NEXT SUMMER Prom Our Ou:n Correspondent CHRISTCHURCH, Today There is every prospect of a yacht race across the Tasman Sea, probably from Melbourne to si North Island port, during the coming summer, according to advice received in Christchurch. The captain of the yacht Oimara, which won the race across Bass Strait, from Melbourne to Tasmania, a few months ago, has issued a challenge to allcomers to race to New Zealand, and it is reported that some fishermen at Inverloch, Gippsland, have accepted the challenge.
