RIFLE SHOOTING
PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB The Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club held a handicap competition shoot for a trophy donated by Mr. R. I. Roberts. There was a good attendance of members and a great improvement was shown in the shooting. The match created great interest to those present toward the* closing stages, and was very keenly fought out, the winner not being known until the last shot was fired. Two members who shot well, H. A. Morrison, with 97 off the rifle, and A. A. Jenkinson, with 98 off the rifle, both reached the limit, 100, with their handicaps, and were thus required to shoot off to decide the winner. In this shoot off H. A. Morrison again reached the limit and A. A. Jenkinson failed to do so by one point. The scores were as follow:—H. A. Morrison, 97, 4—100; A. A. Jenkinson, 98, 5—100; A. E.
