BAD WEATHER HOLDS UP NEWS OF HOOK REMOTE HOPE OF LIFE Reed. 10.5 a.m. DELHI, Thursday. The Deputy-Commissioner at Prome. who is in charge of the search arrangements, reports that there is no news of Eric Hook, the missing airman. The weather is appalling, it having rained continuously for 4S hours, and it may have been impossible for the searchers to send back news. Streams have become swollen torrents and are impassable. He thinks Hook may have died of pneumonia and the search parties are not hurrying back through such terrible weather.

On the other hand. Hook may be alive and is being cared for by the searchers at some remote village.
