TWO MAORIS IN COURT The theft of £4 from a garage at Drury on Monday was admitted by a young native, Mae Pira, in the Papakura Police Court yesterday, while an older companion. Maki 'Tauariki. pleaded guilty to being drunk and abetting and aiding some person to supply him with liquor off licensed premises. Constable Holland said a garage proprietor found the two accused at his till on Monday afternoon. Pira gave him back £2 10s and another £1 was found on the floor. However, £4 was still missing. Tauariki was drunk and had a bottle of beer in his pocket. Pira was admitted to probation for two years on condition that he refunds £4 and pays costs 3s. Tauaraki was fined £2 10s, and costs 13s.
