AUSTRALIANS PLAYING IN SCOTLAND HOME TEAM 3 FOR 129 Reed. 9.25 a.m. LONDON, Wed. The Australian cricket team began a match with Scotland at Edinburgh today. Fairfax, Oldfield, McCabe and Wall were not playing. Scotland’s side was:—Alexander, Anderson. Baxter, Jones, Kerr, MeTavish, Nicholson, Sievwright, Simpson, Todd and Watson. Scotland won the toss and batted on a good wicket. The weather was dull. Kerr and Alexander put on 56 before Grimmett broke the partnership. Alexander and McTavish continued to bat attractively. Rain several times interrupted play and at 3.20 p.m. stumps had to be drawn. The scores are: SCOTLAND First Innings KERR, Ibw., b Grimmett 20 ALEXANDER, lbw., b A’Beekett ..
