AIRPLANE SOLD

MISS CLIFFORD’S MACHINE Press Association WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Tho lirst private airplane owner in Wellington will be Mr. P. Berryman, who has agreed to purchase -Miss Aroha Clifford’s Avro-Avian machine, which is at present at Rongotai, and tomorrow Miss Clifford will fly it for the last time before she hands it over to Mr. Berryman. The new owner recently qualified for his A licence. The machine has a Cirrus engine. It was brought to New Zealand by Flight-Lieutenant K. H. J. Hall, of Hororata, to replace an Avian which had crashed. Miss Clifford purchased it from him about the middle of February last.
