RISING TWO-YEAR-OLD AT ELLERSLIE Tlie Ellerslie trainer. R. E. Brown, was absent in the North for the greater part of last week engaged in the selection of a yearling from the racing stock stationed at Mr. F. E. Lewis’s farm. Tho new recruit (a filly by Valley rian from Titanus) is now receiving her early education prior to joining the active ranks at headquarters. She is not of good size, but bears a robust constitution. Another from the same stable in Real McKay, a three-year-old Peach Brandy youngster, is showing satisfactory progress, and he looks a type likely to race well in the new season. This fellow is a sluggish customer and does not put much zest into his track duties.
