WATERSIDER SERIOUSLY INJURED

Concussion and injuries to a thigh were received by Mr. Walter J. Gallot, a married man, aged 53, of 85 Kelson Street, when he fell off a truck on the Western Wharf yesterday afternoon, and struck a projection on the side of the wharf. The accident occurred during loading operations to the Union Company’s Kaponga. Mr. Gallot lost his footing when the truck moved, and fell into the harbour. He was rescued quickly and taken to the Auckland Hospital by tho St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning was reported by the hospital authorities to be fairly serious.
