CURE FOR RHEUMATICS
EFFICACY OF RANGITOTO CLIMATE An effective and cheap remedy for rheumatism has been claimed by two sufferers from the ailment. The remedy, a very simple one, consists of a period of residence on the dry and relatively warm rock-fields of Rangitoto. Shack dwellers on the island have long boasted of the invigorating qualities of the open-air life at Rangitoto and a Christchurch visitor suffering severely from a rheumatic complaint, who visited the island last Christmas, was so charmed with the picturesque setting of one shack that she purchased it, intending to spend a holiday there. After a couple of weeks she began to improve in health rapidly, and now is completely restored. Now she resolutely declines to return to the mainland and is urging her husband to sell his business in the South Island and come North.
