FAREWELL TO MANAGER
At a farewell social at Te Awamutu on Thursday. Mr. R A. Coyne, manager of the Te Awamutu branch of the Union Bank of Australia, who has bee:: transferred to the new branch of the bank in Customs Street. Auckland, was presented with a gold watch and chain. He was also presented with & pair of binoculars by the Waipa Racing Club.
Mr. Coyne was president of the Chamber of Commerce and was secretary and president of both the Golf and Tennis Clubs, as well as a committeeman of several other organisations. The presentation was made on behalf <*f his many friends by ?’io Mavor. Mr. C. CL Downes.
Mr. Coyne will be succeeded by M.-. O. is. West, of Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay,
