FIRE DAMAGES STOCK
OUTBREAK IN CITY STORE A large amount of stock was damaged by fire which broke out in the store of F. S. Morton and Co., at Phoenix Chambers, Queen Street, at about 10.30 o’clock last evening. The total stock was valued at £4,000, and was insured for £2,000 in the Standard Office. The fire started in the storeroom, and the City Fire Brigade suppressed the flames.
