PAPATOETOE WEDDING

TWO SISTERS IN GREEN AND SUNSET PINK ATTEND BRIDE BOLTON—McQUARRIE On Wednesday evening, a pretty wedding was celebrated at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Great South Road, Papatoetoe, when Catherine, fourth daughter of Mr. H. and the late Mrs. MacQuarrie, of Margaret Road, Papatoetoe, was married to Walter Curgenven, the third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bolton, of Mount Eden, Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory georgette, with fitting corsage, from which fell a full-pointed skirt, dipping toward the back, and inset with silver motifs. A beautiful tulle and lace veil was arranged on a bandeau of silver, outlined with seed pearls and sprays of orange blossom, and fell gracefully from the shoulders to form a train. A shower bouquet of white blooms was carried. Tho bride was attended by her two sisters, Misses Alarion and Betty AlacQuarrie, wearing frocks alike of sunset silk charmeuse and nymph green georgette. The fitting bodices had rows of rucking, and the anklelength flared skirts were finished witli tulle hip bows. Quaint head-dresses of tulle in tones to match their bouquets were worn. Air. G. Bolton was best man and Air. W. Beagley was groomsman. The Rev. T. H. Rosveare performed the marriage ceremony and Aliss AI. Campbell presided at the organ. The reception was held at the Renown Hall, Papatoetoe, which had been prettily decorated with streamers and silver balloons, and a beautiful floral wedding-bell was suspended over the bridal table. Aliss E Rowe, of Alauku, acted as hostess, her frock was of winoberrv wool crepe de chine, worn with hat of soft felt. Airs. Bolton, mother of the groom, wore a smart frock of navy crepe de chine and small navy hat. and curried a posy of violets and maidenhair fern. The going-away frock of the bride was of navy wool c-repe de chine, worn under a fur-trimmed coat of bottle green face cloth, with hat to match.
