BANKRUPT BUILDERS

ADJOURNED MEETING HELD Creditors of Vernon Frank Woolley and John Worthington, trading as Woolley and Worthington, builders, of New Lynn, met before the deputy official assignee, Mr. G. W. Brown, yesterday. The previous meeting was adjourned to enable the official assignee to make inquries concerning a contract at Henderson which Woolley and Worthington had abandoned. This morning the assignee explained that legal opinion had been received which showed that there was no prospect of enforcing any claim for work already done. A small balance had been received amounting to £25 2s Sd; paid in settlement of the Henderson job. The Crown solicitor had advised the assignee to accept. The partnership assets had been realised and the only questions held over were an interest in the will of Worthington's father and a property, subject to mortgage, which-it was. proposed to carry 'on with a view to preserving the equity.
