SMALLER DIVIDEND
COMPLAINTS BY SANFORD LTD.’S SHAREHOLDERS ANNUAL MEETING Some dissatisfaction with the smaller dividend on ordinary shares this year compared with the previous year was expressed at a largely attended meeting of shareholders of Sanford, Ltd., yesterday afternoon. Mr. A. F. Jagger presided. The Press was not admitted to the meeting. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. In reply to shareholders’ criticism, Mr. Jagger suggested that a small committee should be set up to investigate the cause of the reduced dividend but advantage was not taken of this proposal. The chairman then undertook to supply to shareholders, who desired it, information concerning the position. The retiring directors. Messrs. A. F. Jagger and W. Claude Motion, were re-elected.
