BIRTHDAY PARTY
DANCING AND MUSIC AT AVONDALE
A very pleasant evening wa» spent at 'the residence of W. Steven. Victoria Road, Avondale, to celebrate the coming-of-age of her son, Mr. Clem Steven. The rooms were prettily decorated with mauve and gold streamers and bowls of flowers. A largo number of guests were rcceh ed by the hostess, who wore black chenille georgette. The evening was spent in dancing, competitions and musical items. Among those present were: Mrs. T. Vercoe, peach crepe de chine; Mrs. G. Steven, mauve crepe de chine; Mrs. IT. Bennett, powder blue taffeta; Mrs. W. Tinker, pink satin; Mrs. Free*juin, black crepe de chine; Mrs. L. Fisher, red crepe de chine; Mrs. D. Buffett, mauve georgette; Miss Gagic-h, pink satin and georgette; Miss Wallace, flame taffeta and tulle; Miss P. Ryan," pink beaded georgette; Miss B. Ryan, navy satin; Miss J. Copeland, blue crepe de < hine and georgette; Miss D. Moves, blue satin; Miss M. McKeown, figured velvet; Miss G. Jlnnnon, green satin and silver; Miss M. Geste, lemon crepe de chine; Miss Laura Vercoe, cyclamen satin and iace; Miss I’. Conner, fawn crepe de chine with pink trimmings.
