FAREWELL PARTY AND PRESENTATION
MUSIC AND DANCING On Saturday evening a farewell Party was given to Mrs. L. H. Carder and family at their residence, Omahu Road, by the Misses McQuarrie, on the occasion of their departure from the district. During the evening a presentation was made to Mrs. Carder by Mr. 11. McQuarrie. The evening was spent in playing games and dancing. Musical items were given by Mr. W. G»ace. The supper and dance rooms were artistically decorated with Iceland poppies and mimosa. Among those present were; Mrs. T,. If. Carder, who wore a frock of black suede georgette, relieved with beige ninon; Miss ;‘L McQuarrie, iloral crepe fleuri; Miss M. M<Quarrie, lemon crepe de chine; .Miss T. McQuarrie. delphinium blue crepe satin; Miss M. Carder, frock of lemon gros grain taffeta; Miss C. Carder, lacquer red taffeta, with gold hem; Miss Dulcie Burns, floral ninon; Miss A. Cross, rose pink taffeta, with transparent hem of embossed tulle; Miss Zena Blake. lemon satin and diamente trimming; Miss Marge Smith, powder blue satin, with tiered skirt and rose shoulder posy; Miss I*. Whittaker, black velvet and tulle, with red shoulder spray; Miss M. Taylor, apricot crepe de chine and silver lacc; Miss Paddy Rush, duchess blue georgette; Miss J. Johnstone, almond green crepe de chine; Miss Phyllis Montgomery, apricot crepe de chine; Miss Ida Wickman, floral satin; Miss Doris Taida, lemon and tangerine taffeta, embossed in silver; Miss K. Dawson, almond green taffeta and silver hem; Miss A. Dawson, silver lame bodice, and pink georgete skirt; Miss Olive Bowen, blue georgette; Miss Valerie West, pastel shaded moire taffeta.
