MANUREWA REQUEST DECLINED Dissatisfaction was expressed by the members of the Manurewa Town Board last evening, when a letter was read from tho Minister ot Justice, advising that the question of providing a resi - dent constable for Manurewa had been considered, and it was regretted: that no action could be taken at present. Mr. Fawcett said the board should make application for the constable at present stationed at Papatoetoe to be transferred to Manurewa. On the proposal of Mr. G. Gallaher, chairman, it was decided to express disatisfaction with the Minister’s decision, and to ask him to receive a deputation on the question.
