A novel suggestion to promote a revival in the building and allied trades came before the Auckland Chamber of Commerce recently. A letter was received by the council asking for the support of the chamber in the organisation of a home modernising campaign, the object of which would be to encourage the owners of many out-of-date buildings in Auckland to have their premises renovated. —News item.
