1 BEASTS ESCAPE FROM THEIR CAGES A lion and lioness that escaped from i their cages at Moissac, France, when that town was overwhelmed by the recent floods, are believed to be at large in the woods about Castelculier. They have been heard roaring at night and sheep have disappeared from local flocks. A police officer from Agen, with four policemen armed with rifles, re- ; cently lay in wait for the animals near a tethered sheep. They heard the lions roaring inthe distance, but did not get a shot at them.
