DEVONPORT WEDDING
IVORY LACE GOWN YORK—McGOW On Thursday afternoon the marriage took place at the Devonport Congregational Church of Olive, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McGow, Queen s - Parade, Devonport, and Norman, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. York, Victoria Road, Devonport. The Rev. Connell Hosking performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white lace over satin beaute, fashioned on long lines with uneven hemline. Her veil of tulle, which was embroidered with pearls, was arranged on the head with a-coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet in white and carnation pink shades. The bridesmaids were Miss K. York, who wore a frock of primrose crepe do chine, and Miss Hazel York, wearing a frock of eitronne crepe de chine. They carried bouquets to match their frocks. The flower-girls were Shirley Eade and JJelrna i’irrett, wearing frocks of turquoise blue georgette and rainbow tulle respectively. They carried posies of roses and violets. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Walter York and Mr. R. McGow was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bridegroom’s parents. Mrs. McGow received the guests wearing a frock of nut brown crepe de chine and a black hat relieved with red. Airs. Y'ork’s frock was of white lace over sea-blue satin and a blue hat trimmed with a diamente buckle.
