BOUQUET OF PINK AND WHITE ROSES
MORRINSVILLE WEDDING SHORTRIDGE—GIFFORD The wedding was celebrated on Saturday, at the residence of the bride's parents, of Olive, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gifford, of Motumaoho, Morrinsville, and Mr. Rolf Shortridge, of Opua, Bay of Islands. The Rev. Father O’Connor, ot Hamilion, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, lokoed charming in an ankle-length frock of white crepe satin over pink, made with a pouched bodice and Jong - , tight-fitting sleeN es. Her veil of palest pink tulle was held in place by sprays of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of pink ana white roses and maidenhair fern. Miss Olma Gifford, sister of the bride, noted as bridesmaid, and a frock of hydrangea blue crepe sedan, made with a ruched bodice and cape co iiar She wore a blue felt hat. and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. , , Air. T. Ward, of Auckland, acted as best man. , After the ceremony Mrs. uirtora, wearing a fi'ock of navy silk marocain, relieved with fawn, and carrying a bouquet of violets and chrysanthemums, received her guests at a reception. , Later the bride and bridegroom left for Auckland, the bride wearing a red celaneso knitted frock, with coat and hat to tone. In the evening a dance was held in the Motumaoho hall, when a large , number of guests were entertained. Music was supplied by Messrs. J. and j A. Gifford, E. Inglis. C. O’Sullivan, Mrs. j Amon, Miss It. Gifford.
