WOODLANDS PROPOSAL
AGAINST AMALGAMAnON A request that the Government take no action to amalgamate the six drainage boards in the Woodland* Swamp area into one controlling body, untit the question had been submitted t« the ratepayers concerned, was mad* in a resolution which was passed at meeting of interested farmers held i Auckland yesterday. The resolution has been forward' to the Minister of Internal Affairs, tl Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle. by the chai man of the meeting. Mr. W. R. EHint ham. It was decided by the meeting that owing to the large expense which would necessarily be incurred. the question should not be dealt with by Order- i n -Council.
