EIGHT SKELETONS
GRUESOME DISCOVERY BY POLICE IN DESERT LEFT MINES IN 1925 Reed. 9.40 a.m. CAPETOWN, Thurs. A police patrol found eight skeletons in the desert north of the Orange River. Their mine tickets establish that they were those of natives who deserted the diamond mines in 1925 They must have walked for 400 miles in the barren desert.
