COMPANY MERGER
Marlborough Mansions, Ltd., a public company formed last July for the purpose of erecting a building in Vincent Street to contain bachelor flats—tho permit for which was refused by tho City Council, and was subsequently the subject of appeal to the Town Planning Board —has now been merged into Hampton Court, Ltd. The latter company is building at the corner of Wellesley Street and Vincent Street a large block of modern residential fiats, the cost of the whole scheme being in the vicinity of £45,000. This building is nearly completed, and will be ready for occupation about the end of this month. An amalgamation of the two companies has now taken place, under which the bulk of the assets of Marlborough Mansions, Ltd., including its land and buildings in Vincent Street, adjoining the property of Hampton Court, Ltd., has been taken over by the latter company, and the debenture holders and shareholders in Marlborough Mansions, Ltd., become beneficially interested in Hampton Court, Ltd. In order to finally effect the amalgamation. Marlborough Mansions, Ltd., will be wound up.
