Then the Wellington backs I broke away with a good turn of pace | and Rush brook scored. The kick j failed. Almost immediately on resumption Foley made the opening for another try. He cut in well and sent a beautiful pass to Broderick, who had a clear run in. Heazelwood converted. Wellington 8, Taranaki 0. Then Wellington had a turn on defence. Harris presiding, it was announced that a representative match between Auckland find Taupiri , would be played at Ngaruawahia on July 12, and that as a curtain-raiser to this match, the Taupiri junior representatives would play the Morrinsville juniors.
