Armstrong (Labour — Christchurch East), who is chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, asked an urgent question of the Prime Minister today .s to whether the Government would validate during the session harbour board grants from revenue »o -Hst cancer and unemployment fund-. The harbour board had no work to cive the uremployed and if it contributed to tlie cancer fund out of un- | authorised expenditure the amoun: would have to be very small. Mr. Forbes said that the Government 1; d decided to bring in validating legislation for contributions to the Cancer Research Fund and and would consider the question of validating harbour board c ontributions to unemployment relief funds.
