DROWNED IN DRAIN

LITTLE CHILD’S DEATH From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. When her two-year-old child disappeared early this afternoon, Mrs. £4. Powell, of Tramway Road, Claudelands, made a frantic search and was horrified to discover him drowned in a nearby drain on the Ruakura State Farm. The child, Alexander Powell, had wandered from liis mother’s care and had apparently slipped into the drain, which was partially filled with water. Dr. T. C. Fraser was summoned, but could only pronounce the child to be dead.
