ACCIDENT IN MINE

TRUCKER SEVERELY INJURED From Our Own Correspondent HUNTLY, Today. An accident occurred in the Renown Collieries Mine last evening, when Mr. George Hancock, 25, a trucker, slipped while detaching a skip of coal from a winch rope, the skip passing over him. Dr. D. Mac Diarmid ordered the injured man’s removal to the Huntly Hospital, where it was found he had suffered a severe bruising of the shoulder, arms and chest, and two broken ribs. The hospital authorities reported this morning that Mr. Hancock’s condition was satisfactory.
