JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS
SYSTEM PRAISED KOWHAI MEETING “Tho success of the junior high school is now proclaimed everywhere. Boys and girls who normally would he tired of school, go back voluntarily for an extra year. These children are not catered for under the older system.” So said Mr. R. FT Rudman, former headmaster of the Kowhai Junior High School, at a meeting of parents, held last evening to receive the biennial reports of the principal and committee, and to elect four parents’ representatives to the committee. Only the required number of nominations was received. Messrs. A. A. Buckley, J. Macdonald, Mrs. E. A. Smvthe and Mrs. F. H. Miller were declared elected. Mr. Buckley, who presided, expressed appreciation at seeing the chairman, secretary and treasurer of the original committee present. Mr. Rudman received a letter of appreciation from the members of the first committee. The biennial reports have already appeared in The Sun.
