JAPAN PROTESTS
SOVIET SINKS’ SHIPS AND KILLS FISHERMEN INCIDENT IN FAR EAST Reed. 10.5 a.m. TOKYO, Sunday. Japan is officially protesting against gunfire attacks made without warning upon Japanese vessels in the fishing waters of Kamchatka, where some fishermen were killed and others wounded. It is reported that Russia, whose gunboats perpetrated the attacks, claims a 20-mile limit for seizing ships and imprisoning the crews.
