NATIVE M.L.C.’S WELCOMED IN SAMOA TAXATION BILL PASSED Special to P.A. by Radio Reed. 1.45 p.m. APIA, Wednesday. At a. meeting of the Legislative Council yesterday the Administrator, in welcoming the nominated native members, Malietoa and Mataafa, said the occasion was an historic one in the life of Samoa, as it was the first time that Samoans had sat in the Council. His remarks were endorsed by all the councillors. One new Bill which facilitates court work in the collection of taxes was passed.
